Terms and Conditions
1.Booking Deposit
A non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure all project dates. Due to the specialized nature of the work, canceled or rescheduled projects may result in lost production time.
2. Payment Schedule
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, payment shall be made as follows:
One-third (1/3) of the total contract price is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable.
One-third (1/3) is due midway through the project, generally upon completion of the primary sanding phase.
The remaining one-third (1/3) is due immediately upon substantial completion of the project.
For projects that extend beyond the original anticipated timeline, the contractor reserves the right to require weekly progress payments (draws) in place of the standard one-third payment structure.
3. Warranty
All completed projects include a one-year limited workmanship warranty covering defects in labour only. This warranty does not cover normal wear, damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, environmental conditions, or third-party actions. Labour charges are non-refundable.
4. Special Order Materials
All special order materials must be paid in full prior to ordering and are non-refundable.
5. Returned Materials
Returned materials may be subject to restocking fees as determined by the supplier. Any such fees shall be the responsibility of the client.
6. Colour and Finish Variations
Exact colour matching is not guaranteed. Natural variations in wood species, age, grain, and prior finishes may affect final appearance. Sample applications will be provided on site for client approval prior to final finishing.
7. Project Schedule and Site Conditions
Project schedules are subject to change due to drying times, environmental conditions, material performance, or unforeseen site factors. The contractor shall not be held liable for delays beyond reasonable control.
8. Client Preparation Responsibilities
The client is responsible for removing all furnishings and personal items from the work area prior to commencement. If baseboards are removed in advance by the client, the contractor will reinstall them at no additional charge unless otherwise noted.
9.Payment Methods
Payments made by E-Transfer or cash will safe the 2% processing fee.
10. Project-Specific Terms
Each project may be subject to additional terms and conditions as outlined in the written work order, estimate, or agreement.
11. Minor Imperfections
Minor surface imperfections, including small dust particles or debris, may occur despite reasonable care and industry-standard practices. Such imperfections are considered normal and do not constitute a defect. These typically diminish over time with normal use and proper cleaning.
